The story of David and Goliath is a legend among children! Who doesn’t like the story of the underdog winning a fierce and formidable foe?
However, the story can be confusing for some children. After all, isn’t it wrong to kill someone? It’s an opportunity for parents to come alongside their children and disciple them in understanding the Bible. Having a great storybook Bible can be very helpful in this.
These crafts are helpful activities to strengthen the understanding of the David and Goliath story.
Make sure to head to 1 Samuel 17 to understand and read the story from scripture.
The crafts could even be used in your family devotion time. They are also great for homeschooling and just plain ole’ fun.

Trace the Line
This is more of a learning activity than a craft! Ideal for ages 2-5, this simple activity sheet gives the learner practice at following lines and strengthening their fine motor skills.
Grab another learning activity! This one strengthens pattern recitation. Each line has a pattern that gets slightly more difficult.
This is a more advanced David and Goliath craft option. The child can color the colorable ark image or simply cut out the already colored one. Cutting requires detailed fine motor skills, so this activity may be better suited for those over 6 years of age.
