I created this booklet for my kindergartner and my 2nd grader. They are both learning reading and writing, and I’ve found that copywork is great for muscle memory! The verses in this booklet actually correlate with our unit study recitation that we will be doing with each of our unit studies for the 2025-2026 school year.
I wanted some additional copywork practice for my 2nd grader, and this seemed like a great way to get it in! Here are the verses covered in the printable! All verses are in the ESV translation of the Bible.

Why Handwriting Bible Verses is a Wonderful Way to Learn
When we invite our children to slow down and write out scripture passages, it becomes a wonderful way to imprint the Word of God in their hearts. The learning process of handwriting Bible verses allows your child to absorb God’s Word while strengthening fine motor skills and muscle memory in letter formation.
In a world of screens and constant rush, giving your child tracing practice with Bible verse copywork is a great way to instill scripture while practicing penmanship, especially if your homeschool includes hands-on activities for learning.
