Days of Creation Coloring Pages
So, what exactly are Days of Creation Coloring Pages? Well, in this case, they are individual sheets that are filled with unique designs that honestly took me way too long to curate! I had a vision for these, and they stretched my creative skills just a bit, which was fun! The 9 pages of coloring pages illustrate each day of creation from the biblical story of creation in Genesis.
These free coloring pages can be used alongside Sunday school lessons, Bible study, or family worship activities. They’re a great coloring activity for both younger children and older kids.
There are so many ways to use these! You can pair them with days of creation story boards, bulletin boards, or Bible crafts, or simply have them out as supplemental materials. The possibilities are really endless!

Days of Creation – Day 1
First creation — light! The Bible tells us, “Let there be light,” and there was light! (Genesis 1:3). This is a wonderful time to pull out those white coloring pictures and talk about darkness and light with your young children. The coloring page below gives lots of creative freedom for demonstrating darkness and light.
Days of Creation – Day 2
On Day 2, God separated the waters and made the sky! Cue those graphics arts images of fluffy clouds and bright skies. This is a fun one for visual arts and critical thinking — what does the sky look like in different seasons?
Days of Creation – Day 3
Now we get to see dry land, plants, and trees appear. This is such a fun craft opportunity. The coloring page below could be just a starting point! Use additional graphic arts clipart, leaves from outside, or even let the kids design their own original coloring sheets with the beauty of God’s creation.
Days of Creation – Day 4
Time for the sun, moon, and stars! This one is always a favorite in our home. We use Creation Day 4 as a great coloring activity and sometimes add glitter or stickers to make those stars really shine.
Your young learners might enjoy a little creation day rhythm or song!
Days of Creation – Day 5
Birds and fish fill the skies and seas on Day 5. Since these free coloring pages are…free, it can be fun to spruce up the learning with some stickers!
You can turn this into a fun craft by adding feathers, googly eyes, or fish scales (aka shiny paper). These are amazing creations of God, and kids love talking about their favorite animal or bird. It’s a great way to incorporate critical thinking and ask why God might have made certain creatures.
Days of Creation – Day 6
Day 6 — the day God created animals and people! This is such an important day of creation (for obvious reasons!), and there is a lot you could add to this coloring page to make it uniquely yours. I’ve heard of people making days of creation mini book and adding pictures of your family around the 7th day of creation. How fun!
You can also keep this a great coloring activity that is basic for younger children. You get to decide on the extent of the activity!
Days of Creation – Day 7
Finally — Day 7, the day God rested. And honestly, mamas — don’t we all need this reminder? This is a great time for students of the key verse to learn about rest and worship. We color peaceful scenes and add praise words like “Holy,” “Rest,” and “Amen.”
It’s a perfect resource for children’s church lessons, Sunday school printables, and family worship activities. I love that my kids can see how God designed even rest as part of His amazing creations.
