Why teach about the Battle of Jericho?
The entire Bible is packed with amazing stories of God’s provision and blessing on God’s people. The story of Joshua and the Israelites coming into the promised land is an exciting turning point in the book of Joshua. This is a fun lesson to teach children about God’s sovereignty, his mighty power, and miracles.
My kids loved this homeschooling lesson because we actually made a Jericho tower and knocked it down with water balloons!
Ideas for Using the Jericho Coloring Pages
These Jericho coloring pages are great for homeschooling, Sunday School, VBS, co-ops, preschools, or any other number of preschool activities.
We specifically used them with our homeschooling. We have been using the curriculum “Let Them Be Little” curriculum by Little House Learning. It is a wonderful curriculum to use if you love hands-on activities and intentional time with your little one. Although our curriculum is not ‘Christian’ in nature, the author is a believer and it’s very easy to integrate Bible lessons into her daily itinerary.
Ideas for using the Jericho Coloring Pages
- Laminate them and then use time and time again with dry-erase markers.
- Just print and use your favorite coloring materials (we prefer our clickable markers so our markers don’t dry out!
- We also had a lot of fun building our own ‘Jericho Towers’ and then knocking them down with water balloons.
- As a bonus, I have included in the download a printable trumpet you can color, cut out, and fold up to use as a trumpet.

You can use your at-home printer if you would like or any other printing service to print out my printables. We love our Epson Workforce printer because it has the capability of taking XL ink cartridges which cuts down on massive ink consumption.
