Reading Level- Late Elementary/High School
Our Favorite Part – There is an element of a treasure map infused into the storyline. I love this element! On many pages, there are ‘captain notes’ that go into further detail about the section of the Bible that is being highlighted. I love how this makes the book into an ‘adventure’ for the reader!
The Treasure
The books of Luke and Acts are typically thought of as two separate books, but they are two halves of the greater story told by Luke. Through the retelling of these timeless stories of Jesus’s work on earth and the Spirit’s work in the church, children will grow in the knowledge and love of God.
The book is ideal for family devotions or as a book for read-aloud times.

Final Mom Thoughts
The best part of this book is the idea of seeking a treasure with a treasure map. So often we tell our children that Jesus is our ultimate treasure, but having a book that children can touch and feel and read like a treasure map is a…well treasure!
My younger children have explored the contents of this book through its illustrations and have loved it. The content is completely appropriate for family read-aloud time and we eventually will add it to our read-aloud list.
Ultimately, I am super glad that we added this book to our Christian books for kids library, and as always, I’m impressed with Marty Machowski’s writing and New Growth Press’ release.
