How much should my Christmas budget be?
Only you can decide what your budget needs to be, but I have heard in the past a helpful tip that 1% of your yearly income is as much as you should spend on Christmas.
For example, if you make $40,000 a year, then you should only be spending $400 on Christmas. Sadly, the average consumer spends much more than this. Last year the Christmas retail sales were over $886 billion dollars in the United States alone.
