FREE Days of Creation Cards

We love it when you share!

Our brand new Free Days of Creation Cards are a fun way to help your children or students explore the seven days of creation in a visual and interactive format!

I never really realized how foundational the story of creation is to Christian education until I started homeschooling my boys using My Father’s World curriculum. Although we have taken a break from that specific curriculum, I still give it my full approval. It is an amazing curriculum. Their preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade curriculum all start out with a full two weeks of understanding and unraveling the creation story.

The story of creation is a favorite book topic for many young children just beginning their journey into God’s Word. Plus, as I’ve learned, it’s a foundational Bible story. Found in the first book of the Bible, Genesis, the creation of the world, is not a story to skim over or skip in your faith formation studies. It will introduce children to the power, intentionality, and creativity of our Heavenly Father.

For Christian educators, Sunday school teachers, and homeschooling parents, teaching the days of creation is a great way to incorporate Bible study into literacy activities, social studies, and even physical science.

Whether you’re planning your morning basket, creating lesson plans for a Bible center, or looking for fun activities to reinforce Bible stories, these Days of Creation Cards are the perfect activity. Available as an instant download, these full-color cards bring the creation story to life.

What are the Days of Creation

The creation story is told in Genesis 1:1–2:3 and details how God created the heavens and the earth in six days and rested on the seventh. Each given day is filled with good things, as God brings order and beauty to the world. Let’s take a look at each of the days:

Day 1: Light and darkness (Genesis 1:3-5)
Day 2: Sky and waters (Genesis 1:6-8)
Day 3: Land, seas, and vegetation (Genesis 1:9-13)
Day 4: Sun, moon, and stars (Genesis 1:14-19)
Day 5: Birds and sea creatures (Genesis 1:20-23)
Day 6: Animals and humans (Genesis 1:24-31)
Day 7: God rested (Genesis 2:1-3)

These seven days of creation reveal the beauty of God’s creation and His care in crafting a world suitable for human life. Teaching these creation days in the correct order can help children develop both Bible literacy and a deeper understanding of God’s Word.

Days of Creation Cards

I designed our Free Days of Creation Cards to be both educational and engaging. They are sized at slightly larger than 3×4 inches. This allows them to be small enough for storage, but large enough to read the print.

Each card features vibrant, full-color illustrations that correspond with each day of creation. On the back of each card, you’ll find Bible verses in the ESV translation, a short description, and a visual aid to support comprehension. These are especially helpful for younger children who benefit from visual arts integration in their Bible lessons.

The cards are excellent for use in:

  • Reinforcement of the creation story
  • 1st grade and 2nd grade classrooms
  • Middle school and high school Bible study
  • Christian schools
  • Sunday school
  • Homeschool environments

Use them for memory work, story sequencing, or anything else you can think of!

Are you ready to download your cards? You can download them for Free at Gumroad or my Etsy shop. Due to the nature of Etsy, there is a cost associated with the download on that platform.
