What better time to ponder some Valentine’s Day prayers that you can pray as a blessing over your family?

Ah, February 14th, a date etched in calendars as a tribute to the celebration of love. On this day, hearts dance to the rhythm of everlasting love, a sentiment that knows no bounds, no limitations. It’s a day where the world unites in a symphony of affection, commemorating the beauty of relationships and the enduring power of love. But we know that Jesus Christ is our ultimate love, his generous love is an everlasting love that should cause us to worship!
Valentine’s Day, a celebration of love in its myriad forms, invites us to embrace the warmth of affection, the tenderness of compassion, and the strength found in connections. It’s not merely a day marked by gestures of romance but a canvas where all kinds of love paint their portraits – from the bond between friends to the devotion within families, and the unwavering support of godly marriage.

What are Valentine’s Day Prayers?
Why do we need a formula for prayers? Isn’t it just a conversation between our heavenly father and ourselves? That is 100% true. In fact, I have rarely used a rote prayer that I’ve found online and recited it. However, I have used rote prayers as a guide to help direct my thoughts. As we reflect on the perfect love of God this season, may these rote prayers be useful as they guide your thoughts and petitions. After all, God is the author of love and we can look to him and his perfect love on this rather strange holiday!
Valentine’s Day prayers can be used as a guide throughout this ‘season of love to reach out to your Heavenly Father and pray for those you love and also pray for yourself throughout the season.
Popular Valentine’s Day Prayers
Although there are not many popular rote Valentine’s Day prayers, there are some popular Bible verses that can be used as prayers or in prayers for Valentine’s Day.
So faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13 ESV
And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

Dear Father, I love my children so much, but I know that it pales in comparison to the overwhelming love that you have for them.

We have finally got to the marriage portion of our prayers. Marriage is a reflection of God’s plan for his Church and just like the Church of Christ, marriage is beautiful but comes with many struggles, trials, and tribulations. These prayers can be used as a blessing over your spouse and to turn your heart toward correct feelings throughout this Valentine’s Day season.
