Just this morning my middle child came marching out of his bedroom at 5:15 am, he had his little stuffed animal Easter bunnies, his water bottle, and a purposeful step, which much to my dismay echoed through the house. “Morning mama, hold me!” I scooped my little three-year-old into my arms and he whispered, “Mama, you are my bestest friend.” Although my work time had been interrupted, this was my next right thing. We as mothers have a hard job, but if we have been called to motherhood, then we shall be equipped for the task. God has given these little ones to you and you have all you need to parent them well.

What does God say about mothers?

In the book of Isaiah 66:13, the bible says:

“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.”

Comfort is defined by the dictionary as a state of physical ease and freedom from pain or constraint.

Sometimes we may feel tired, overwhelmed, or exhausted. In times like this, God is reminding us that we are not alone as he is always there to comfort us. He is a present help in times of need.
